Entertaining first half

Arsenal-Porto was a very thrilling first half up and down the pitch in the free-flowing style The Gunners prefer. However, as the half wore on Porto's defensive plan clearly showed through as the home side fouled Cesc Fabregas - Arsenal's captain - over and over, five times overall for the half.

The last foul just before half of Fabregas ruffled both teams feathers as tempers flared and the teams came face to face going into the locker room. Porto said Fabregas was making a meal of the situation trying to draw a card, but Gunner coach Arsene Wenger hounded the fourth official on the side that Porto was making a repeated effort to foul his captain out of the game.

Should set up for a great second half. Right now if the score stays the same, Arsenal fans will have to say their side have done the job collecting the crucial away goal and walking away with a draw in Portugal before the Gunner's home game in England in 2 weeks.
