Anyone have some extra hair bleach?
With Shimer's story about Steve Ralston earlier, I thought it was only fitting to pass along some more MLS news I saw on the ESPN Bottomline: Jaime Moreno is coming back for another season with DC United.
Want to feel old? This will be Moreno's 14th season with DC United, he's been with them since the league and team's inception. In other words, when I was 12 and didn't know that the MLS was/would be forever a joke, I loved Eddie Pope, Marco Etchevery (and his flowing mullet) and Moreno's bleached blond hair.
The 36-year old Bolivian striker has 132 career goals and 102 assists, the first MLS player with 100 of each.
He started 11 games last season and had nine goals and three assists in 24 total games. I look forward to seeing my children not paying attention to him (or Brett Favre) in 20 years while they're both still hanging on.
