And the hits keep on coming

Although Ricardo Clark probably would not have been called into duty for the U.S. in the upcoming El Salvador friendly, a muscle pull in his leg may not all for the defensive center midfielder to play in the far more important friendly with the Netherlands on May 3.

Signing with Eintracht Frankfurt in January, Clark has not feature in the starting rotation for the Bundesliga team and his first start may be delayed for some time.


Joining a lengthy list of injury concerns that includes Charlie Davies, Clint Dempsey, and Oguchi Onyewu - Clark is expected to take several weeks to get back in top shape. A relatively fresh name in the U.S. player pool, Clark emerged in qualifying as legitimate first-team player. If his injury turned serious and miss significant time it would be a serious blow to the MNT.
