With today's U.S. match vs. the Netherlands the World Cup season in my opinion is officially upon us. The next three months will tell Red White and Blue Army fans a lot about what they can expect from our boys in South Africa.
Because we are only a mere couple of days past the 30th anniversary of the "Miracle on Ice" in Lake Placid - the greatest moment in U.S. team sports history in my opinion - it is only fitting we talk about the MNT player pool and who might be the the next Ralph Cox. Cox was the the last player cut by Herb Brooks on the hockey team before the 1980 Lake Placid Olympic games.
Tonight the decision start to get really difficult for Bob Bradley who will have to whittle down the pool which is probably about 25-28 deep right now to his eventual 23-man World Cup roster.
Here is the starting lineup:
Goalkeeper: Tim Howard

Attackers: Robbie Findley, Jozy Altidore
Subs: M DaMarcus Beasley; F Eddie Johnson; D Heath Pearce; M Maurice Edu; M Alejandro Bedoya; GK Brad Guzan; D Clarence Goodson
