Third place game: Germany vs. Uruguay live blog

Miroslav Klose is out with a back injury he picked up in training so this matchup loses some of its luster since Klose can't tie Ronaldo's World Cup goal mark.

Regardless, this should be a high-scoring, exciting game that pits a team nobody thought would be here (Uruguay) against a young team that peaked and then fell to Spain.

Starting 11s:

Uruguay Lineup
G
1Fernando Muslera
CD-L
3Diego Godín
CD-R
2Diego Lugano

22Martín Cáceres

4Jorge Fucile

9Luis Suárez

10Diego Forlán

Germany Lineup
G
22Hans-Jörg Butt
CD-L
3Arne Friedrich
CD-R
17Per Mertesacker

4Dennis Aogo
RB

RM
7Bastian Schweinsteiger
F

8Mesut Özil

13Thomas Müller

Aogo, in for a sick Phillip Lahm, and Cacau have already picked up yellow cards. Aogo had a brutal tackle, he should have picked up a red and Cacau had a clear handball on a free kick by Forlan.

0-0 in the 8th minute. Germany had a goal disallowed as well since they were offsides.

Muller and Suarez are back after missing the last matches with red cards.
