German midfielder Marcell Jansen tied it up in the 56th minute with a header after Muslera whiffed on a cross and got caught too far out of his net.
This game has been one of the best of the tournament. Diego Perez picked up a yellow card for Uruguay and Suarez's long shot was stopped by Butt's diving save.
