Off the first corner kick of the game, to Australia, there was a scramble in front of the German goal and right back Philipp Lahm stopped Australian forward Richard Garcia twice.
It was an anxious moment with German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer in position but if either of those shots got through, who knows.
Germany just had a couple of great chances.
