The last 5 minutes are all South Africa

We are in the dying minutes of the first half and South Africa are pounding the Mexican penalty area with good crosses, quick one-touch passing, and corners. The Mexican defense is very prone to giving up goals on set pieces, an Achilles heel of their team.

Mphela nearly got on the end of a beautiful cross as the ball went just skimming over his head. After earning their fourth corner inside 2 minutes Dikgacoi got on the end of a ball, but his header went just over the bar.

Perez certainly looked shaky on a couple, coming out for a ball that he could only just tip away.

A good opening 45 minutes, I think there will be a couple of goals in the second half, but I am predicting a 1-1 finish.

Mexico were certainly the better team and Dos Santos was the best player on the pitch making good runs, hitting shots, and delivering a couple of dimes on free kicks.

I'm looking for Steven Pienaar to have a big impact in the second half for South Africa, I really want to see the home side open the score so Johannesburg erupts.
