0-0 at the half

It kills me to say it since they're probably my most hated team but Mexico really deserves a better fate at halftimel.

Not only did they have a goal disallowed for no reason but they've carried play from start to finish, save for one or two runs by South Africa.

South Africa Mexico
3(0) Shots (on Goal) 8(1)
10 Fouls 10
4 Corner Kicks 3
2 Offsides 3
39% Time of Possession 61%
1 Yellow Cards 1
0 Red Cards 0
1 Saves 0

Conversely, South Africa has to be happy to be tied 0-0. A draw in this game would be great for them and they can't play much worse than they did for the opening 15 minutes. They can run with Mexico, it's just a question of what they'll do with the few chances they get on goal.

First scoreless first half for an opening game since 1994.

Shaun Bartlett, Steve McManaman and Chris Fowler in the studio for ESPN.
