Mexican midfielder Efrain Juarez got a yellow card for a handball and subsequent gumming up of the South African free kick. He just stood in front of it, not allowing them to get it off with any speed.
After the free kick was cleared out, Dos Santos raced down on the counterattack and nearly scored. It was the best chance of the game as the shot swerved wide to the left.
0-0 in the 21st minute, South Africa has seemingly relaxed a little bit.
