1-1 final in opening match

After battling some internet issues, I am back and just in time.

The game just ended 1-1 and that's probably a fair result.

South Africa played much better in the second half and scored what will surely be one of the best goals of the tournament.

Mexico looked almost buried, and this would have been a terrible result, but Marquez scored a clutch goal.

Final stats:

South Africa Mexico
10(3) Shots (on Goal) 16(3)
17 Fouls 13
4 Corner Kicks 5
4 Offsides 6
35% Time of Possession 65%
2 Yellow Cards 2
0 Red Cards 0
2 Saves 2

South Africa next meets Uruguay on Wednesday at 2:30 EST and Mexico plays France on Thursday at 2:30 EST in what should be an awesome match.

The second and final match today is France vs. Uruguay at 2:30, don't sleep on Uruguay, I think they're one of the most underrated teams in the World Cup. Conversely, France is one of the most overrated and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they don't even make it out of Group A.
