Toulalan booked, scoreless at halftime

French midfielder Jeremy Toulalan was just booked with a yellow card right before the half. It was a professional foul that prevented an odd-man rush by Mexico so it was a good play but he had a yellow in France's first match against Uruguay so he'll be out against South Africa.

And with that, the first half is over. 0-0.

Halftime stats:

France Mexico
8(2) Shots (on Goal) 6(1)
8 Fouls 14
4 Corner Kicks 0
0 Offsides 1
55% Time of Possession 45%
1 Yellow Cards 1
0 Red Cards 0
1 Saves 2

The stats don't say it but you have to trust me that Mexico is carrying play. I fully expect them to score in the second half, they need a goal and more importantly a win. Same deal with France, they have to open their goal scoring account in the 2010 World Cup and they need three points.
