This game needs a spark

As Rich said that was one ugly first half of football. Ivory Coast held most of the possession as illustrated by the 57% advantage, but they lacked any teeth to their bite in fact their was no bite.

As the commentators noted, Portugal seems to be playing for a scoreless draw because simply they are not as good as Ivory Coast. Portugal's best players are old with the exception of Ronaldo and they look like Italy truth be told simply willing to defend, defend, defend then occasionally counter attack.

Ivory Coast just cannot put the passes together where they need to - in the final third.

Drogba just got off the bench to start warming up, and for the sake of this prime time matchup it would be wonderful if he could enter the game and at the least make it a little more lively.
