Nigerian forward Chinedu Ogbuke had his team's best chance so far in the 28th minute but he made a mess of it.
He had an ugly touch to his left foot but then he compounded things by putting the shot wide of the goal.
It is clear though that Argentina's weakness lies in the fullbacks. Time and again, Nigeria has had space and been able to get crosses into the box.
