American defender Steve Cherundolo just had his first nice run forward of the day. He turned his Algerian defender and served a decent cross into the box that Dempsey headed down, Donovan had a chance to one-time it but he couldn't square it up.

Dempsey with another great chance, he couldn't get much power on a toe poke from a Donovan through ball.
