1-0 final

It's all over as Argentina hangs for the 1-0 win. It was a fair result since Argentina had the majority of possession and scoring chances.

Argentina will need to put a few more goals in when they get that many juicy opportunities but obviously you can never bet against Messi, Tevez, Milito etc.

So in Diego Maradona's World Cup debut, he picks up a win. For one day at least, everyone forgets how badly Argentina struggled in qualifying. This is a loaded team.

Nigeria didn't play badly and Enyeama had the best performance so far for a goalkeeper in the 2010 World Cup.

These teams are back at it on Thursday: Argentina meets South Korea (2-0 winners over Greece this morning) while Greece plays Nigeria in basically an elimination game for Group B.

Argentina Nigeria
20(7) Shots (on Goal) 12(1)
7 Fouls 8
10 Corner Kicks 4
0 Offsides 0
65% Time of Possession 35%
1 Yellow Cards 1
0 Red Cards 0
1 Saves 6
